Why Join Us

It’s not just an event, it’s an experience.

It’s not about who is at the front of the room… it’s about everyone who is in the room. It’s definitely not a conference, not a meeting, not a series of Power Points, and not traditional.

We create a stronger communities working in that sweet spot between the limited and the limitless. This year’s program will focus on the productive tension between “what is” and “what if”, the inspiration that continues to drive us further into what’s possible —

You can expect to be challenged and inspired by a refreshing line up of brilliant speakers who are masters at shattering today’s limits and unleashing tomorrow’s possibilities.

Bring your curiosity, hunger for knowledge, and passion for youth work… and leave with recharged energy, valuable connections, and powerful ideas.

Connection 2017 will focus on breaking through the chatter of daily work to identify deep connections and limitless possibilities.

Exploring audacious progress and possibilities, calling out and removing barriers that limit progress, confronting gaps in our knowledge and mindfully anticipating what’s on the horizon — the
extraordinary voices of the Connection 2017 stage unlock our imaginations and inspire new thinking that can lead to  stronger communities and outcomes for youth.

The mainstage program is only a fraction of Connection 2017 – the full experience involves even more activities and interactive installations that catalyze discussion and stimulate new relationships.

To kickstart the experience we begin with a welcome event to help get you ready for the day ahead. The next day begins by fueling up with breakfast before alternating between inspiring and thought-provoking talks from our speakers, and meals and interaction with fellow attendees, who comprise a multi-sector group of change-makers passionate about strengthening outcomes for youth.

Between mainstage sessions, get involved with a hands-on activities, an art exhibit, meet-up with one of the speakers you just heard or with fellow attendees. End the day with a chance to kick back, relax and share new ideas over food, drinks and celebration.
